Birchbox December 2014

Hey everyone!

Long time no blog!

Since holiday season is finally among us, it seems fitting Birchbox released a brand new December box design. It may not be the traditional red and green we all associate with the holiday season, but it is absolutely gorgeous. I love the beautiful blue and gold details, It will for sure be a fixture on my vanity.

Aside from a gorgeous box, I recieved 5 amazing products to try out. One is Embryolisse Lait-Creme Concentre. I have raved about this product extensively in the past, but I will just say that this is hands down one of the best moisurizers I have ever used. It is a relatively hard to get product, but its great that birchbox is bringing it straight from France to you. The sample size was pretty small, but it is just enough for 2-3 uses. I love getting these for travelling. Next was the Mirenesse iCurl mascara. The packaging is adorable, but sadly it isn't an impressing mascara. I would suggest Tarte's lights, camera, flashes if you want a long and full lashes. I also recieved the Amika nourishing hair mask. I have tried this product before and I am definitely happy I get another chance to try it out. The product smells amazing and leaves my hair feeling soft and shiny. Next is the Essentiel Elements shower gel. This smells strongly of rosemary, which I would normally be turned off by, but for whatever resason I love this at night as a way to destress after a long day. Last is the Rusk texture spray. The spray is much like other texturizing sprays, but was a nice size included in the box.

Overall I thought this month's box was okay. Nothing too exciting, but a nice selection of products. Hopefully the new year brings a brand new batch of new products to try out.
