Ipsy February 2015

Last month, I decided to give Ipsy another shot to see if it is worth resubscribing for the long haul. In the past, I have had mixed feelings about the products and point system, causing me to subscribe and unsubscribe over and over. This post is a little belated, but the feelings are still current.

China Glaze Polish
This polish comes in the shade Marry a Millionaire, a glitter polish suspended in a clear purple toned base. The glitter itself is in the shades purple, gold and green. I did like the polish formula and I was thrilled to see it was a full sized product.

Modelco Blush
The blush came in a mini size, and the shade peach bellini, was reminiscent of Nars Orgasm, but slightly more coral toned. But I found the formula to be too frosty for my taste. I don't mind a little shimmer, but it was just over my limit. The product itself was also a little soft, which meant I had to make sure not to take too much product when dipping my brush into the pot. But overall, the blush was nicely pigmented and I would consider picking one up in a different color in the future.

Mitchell and Peach facial oil
This facial oil is similar to other oils I have tried. There was nothing remarkable in my skin consistency after using the product. It wasn't good or bad.

Demeter First Love perfume oil
This oil came in a generous size of close to half an ounce. I liked the scent of it as well. It was a nice light scent, and I detected jasmine. The only thing I didn't care for was the oily feeling it left on my skin after application.

City Color creamy lip stain
I was surprised by this product. The shade was so so, a generic medium pink shade. The formula was actually quite nice, creamy and easy to sink in. I only placed a little on my lips, rather than slopping a lot on. Over application would have made it look too unnatural. After patting it onto my lips with a clean finger, it gave my lips a nice pop of color without being too much.

After trying it out again, I decided to see what next month would have in store. None of the products were horrible and many came in decent sizes

xx, Lexy
