Beauty finds at Costco?

Hey everyone!

I've been hearing a few rumors that there has been some high to mid-range brand sightings at Costco. Everything from Chanel to Stila. So naturally, this beauty hoarder had to take a quick peek and a few pictures while there on my weekly trip to get some groceries and pet supplies. :)

Sadly, there was no Chanel. :( But there was a few other brands!

 Hourglass Prodigy Hydrating Lip Gloss

I found a whole bunch of these. The glosses typically retail for $26 at Sephora, but were on sale for $4.97.

I passed on them for a few reasons.

  1. I have around 150 lip products open and it would be ridiculous to buy more (JK, I would still buy more)
  2. The color selection wasn't exciting. Three brown nudes and a creamy pink that would be too pale for me.
  3. I have an Hourglass lip gloss (different formula) and I have probably used it 2-3 times. Wasn't impressed.
  4. The product itself wasn't looking too good. You can see that it is slightly separating at the top which is one indicator that the product could have been sitting around for a while.
  5. I have become a little weary of buying makeup from Costco. A few years ago, I bought a Stila palette and the quality was terrible. Absolutely terrible pigmentation. I seriously think that its worse than any coastal scents or BH palette.

Heroine (you can see what I mean by separating)

Eden

Ingenue

Opium (really visible issues)

Opi two pack

Costco also had two packs of various OPI polishes. At $10.99, it is a really good deal seeing as how each polish retails for around $9. My only worry is that Costco is probably not an authorized reseller of OPI. But nevertheless, a great deal if you don't mind that.

Skincare

Costco had some name brand skincare items like DDF acne control (something that made an appearance in my Birchbox last month and retails for $48 a pop), Jurlique herbal recovery gel(which made an appearance in my first ever Birchbox) and the matching replenishing day cream, some Clinique and Estee lauder as well. Prices were not too bad, for the items.

What do you think? Would you buy makeup and skincare from Costco? I walked out with nothing which was an accomplishment!
