How to read the new Ipsy dashboard

Hey everyone! I am so glad ipsy has finally decided to update their website a bit to allow for previewing what you will be getting in you glam bag, how to see what other options there were this month, how to leave feedback and how to update your beauty profile. In this post, I want to go over some of these changes to make it easier for anyone new to Ipsy.

First is: What exactly is a Dashboard?
      --- A dashboard is the place in which you can view and control your account details.

If you look to the picture above, you will see that I boxed 2 things.
-Green is a drop down menu that will allow you to either log out or view your profile. This is the profile that other ipsy members will see when they search your username.
-Red is an important section to understand because it will be where you can see other account details.

Above, I took a screenshot of what the dropdown menu if you were to click the first option, MY GLAM ROOM. The top portion shows you precisely what you will be getting in your glam bag this month. Below that, there is another link that leads to another drop down list. That will allow you to see the other items ipsy is sampling this month.

In the upper right hand corner, your account details are shown. This tells you ship date, subscription status and next billing date.

Below that, there is a pink link to retake your beauty profile quiz! This is important because Ipsy is making the move to personalize each bag more towards the subscriber, so it is important to make sure everything is answered to what suits your personality. The quiz can be retaken whenever. But to apply to the bag, it must be taken before the 1st of the month.

The next column over allows you to pick from a drop down menu to see past bags. ALL bags since December 2011 will show, so don't be concerned if your were not subscribed from the start and it shows all bags. Also, note that personalization started in May. So from then on, bag variations began to reflect on the dashboard, but the first month had some issues, so it may not match. But from June on, it has been fairly accurate.

Above is a picture of the ipsy point tab. This tab will allow you to invite people and find your specialized ipsypoint link. When you have 2 referrals, you will get one of whatever item they are giving out that month. This month (july 2013) is a nail polish, but you could also recieve one of the ones from the past months.

Lastly, This is your account details. This will tell you everything! your username, password to the site, contact info, shipping, billing, credit card details and how your subscription works. Above, you can see that I am on the monthly plan and you can cancel there as well.
