Updated Makeup Storage

Hey everyone! I thought it was about time to do an updated makeup storage post http://missglammygirl.blogspot.com/2013/01/makeup-collection-and-organization.html?q=collection! Its been a little while and some new products have been added and new containers have been placed in to accommodate them.  Here is the link to the Alex 9 drawer that I use for storing everything. http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/50192822/

Lets get started!

This is how it was organized:

  1. Skincare and primers
  2. Eye products
  3. Foundation and Setting Powder
  4. Blush, Bronzer and Highlighter
  5. Lip products
  6. Perfumes and Body sprays
  7. New unused products
  8. Nail polishes
  9. B&BW candles
Now this is how its organized:

  1. Skincare and primers
  2. Eye products
  3. Foundation and Setting Powder
  4. Blush, Bronzer and Highlighter
  5. More eyeshadow palettes
  6. Lip products
  7. New unused products/ Trade list products
  8. Nail polishes
  9. B&BW candles
Not much of a difference, but I added some better ways of storing things within the drawers.

Drawer 1: Skincare and primer
-In this drawer, I used a plastic divider I found at target. Behind it, I am using a lid from glossybox and one from a birchbox to separate the products.

Drawer 2:
-In this drawer, I have my most used palettes up in the front and on the sides, and I have a glossybox lid to organize my random liners, mascaras and primers. Behind that, I have a black 6 panel divider from target that I put my single shadows.

Drawer 3: My face products
For this drawer, I have all my bare minerals powders lined up on the left side. on the right, I have all my concealers, a few primers and bb creams inside the glossybox. In front of it, I have my larger tubes of foundation laid out for easy access. Behind the glossybox, I have lesser used tinted moisturizers and BB creams

Drawer 4: Blush, Bronzer and Highlighters
This drawer is a bit of a mess. I only have one divider on the left side from target, and the rest just flow depending on the packaging of the products.

Drawer 5: Palettes
In this drawer, there is no specific organizers. This is just where I house all my oversized palettes like BOS 3&4 and some other random ones.

Drawer 6: Lip products
This is my first larger sized drawer. In this one, I have all my lip products and some other random things. To store my lippies, I have a lip product divider inside of a glossybox. And behind it, I have a birchbox that houses my large collection of maracuja lip glosses.

Drawer 7: Extras
This drawer is quite interesting. In this drawer, everything is products that I do not use everyday since they are either spares or products I am trying to trade. To make things very easy for me, I have everything split up old birchboxes that are labeled for easy access. Any overflow, products not for trade or oversized products get tossed into a glossybox next to the striped birchbox.

Drawer 8: Nail Polish
This drawer is light on organization too. There is a birchbox that separates nail care products on the right side, but the rest just gets separated by the brand.
Drawer 9:Candles
This one just houses all my candles. It can fit 12 of my 3 wicks and several minis on top.

Last is what is on top of my vanity. I got a nice acrylic divider at target to divide my brushes and other products and it sits nicely there. And off tot the right, there is a wicker basket that houses my hair products.

What do you think?
