April 2013 Favorites!

Hey everyone!

So its that time of the month again! Well maybe a little late. Either way, on to the favorites!

  1. Tarte the buffer airbrush finish bamboo foundation brush- This is an amazing brush! I use it all the time to apply my foundation. It evenly applies my foundation and the handle is pretty cute.
  2. Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Aria- I recently did a post about this color. I love it! Its a gorgeous magenta pink. It is much darker in person than in the photo, but Aria is such a pretty color to wear! It isn't a color I normally reach for, or have for that matter. And every time I wear it I get complements! I would definitely suggest it if you are looking for a interesting new color to try.
  3. Tarte Lights, camera, flashes mascara- At first, I didn't care for it. I thought the formula was just too watery and was prone to clumping. After using it for a few months on and off, I finally committed to using the mascara everyday. Something about the formula improved as the mascara got older. Probably due to the formula drying up a bit. Now, I can see why everyone likes it! It does a good job a lengthening and separating my lashes and the wand is curved, which makes it easy to apply since its bends more towards the natural shape of your eye.
  4. Tarte Aqualillies for tarte Amazonian clay waterproof eye and cheek palette- This palette is probably my favorite out of the bunch. It is an amazing palette that has all the needed essentials for a good travel palette. It contains: 6 eyeshadows, a blush, a bronzer and a highlighter. The eyeshadows are a good range of nudes, and a blue added in to stick with the theme. The blush is a gorgeous matte coral shade that is unlike any color I already have in my Tarte blush collection. I would say it is similar to coralista by Benefit, but coralista is lighter and much more pink tinged. The bronzer is a matte version of the classic park ave princess. I would have preferred the original, but supposedly the matte is also waterproof. And last, but certainly not least, there is a beautiful champagne highlighter that applies very nicely. Totally worth the money.
  5. Tarte maracuja miracle foundation 12-hour Broad Spectrum SPF 15 sunscreen- Last tarte product I promise! Along with the airblush brush, I love this foundation when applied with this brush. The foundation gives light to medium coverage on me, and is perfect for school or on the weekends when minimal coverage is okay. I really appricate that they chose to use a pump for application. And the bottle shape reminds me of my first Estee Lauder liquid foundation (That I still have, but I only keep because of memories). I use the shade tan and it is a perfect match.
  6. Dermablend concealer in Tan- I really love this concealer. It is a stick concealer that provides pretty good coverage. The best part is that it is in stick form, which makes it so much easier for me to apply in the mornings when in the rush or when I want to take a concealer to spot touch up during the day.

Swatches of the concealer and foundation. I promise the concealer matches me really well when applied on my dark circles. Something about the color matches really closely. I have a picture up on instagram that compares one side with and one without. The results are pretty dramatic.
